It`s a beautiful day today, the sun is shining, the birds are singing. It`s a "wouldn`t be dead for quids" day. The blackbirds are still busy in their nest and now we get an "alarm' call every time we go into our bedroom ! Perhaps they would like us to move out till they`ve raised their family. I think not.
I`ve turned the compost, put some B&B and comfrey and water in it, so here`s hoping it will be ready soon.
The lemon and the lime tree are covered in scale again, doesn`t seem 5 mins since I sprayed last time. Oh well I`ve sprayed again.
There are 3 buds on the Zygopetalum orchid, it seems really late but i don`t really know. I have pruned the Patio Rose which was looking really sick, it`s covered with flowers but the leaves are brown and dying. There`s some new growth happening so I gave it some seaweed concentrate.
The Kalanchoes are all putting out new growth, I seem to have rather a lot of them, but they`re low maintenance and the honeyeaters love them. Also they look stunning in full bloom.
Good news about the Hoya which I`d nearly written off. I`ve had it for 2 years, grown from a cutting and it`s never flowered. On GA this week Peter Cundall said they have to be really potbound before they bloom, and this is normal behaviour
