Winter seems to have arrived now. We`ve had gale force winds and lashing rain for a day or two. The rain is very welcome but the cold wind isn`t!
My biggest news is that our bore was dug yesterday - YAY _ no more bucketing or getting up and out in the garden early just to water. It`s providing a good volume, 720 gal per hour, which is better than the mains, The quality seems quite good, it`s drinkable if we ever need it. Now we`re planning a watering system throughout the garden with the help of a local supplier. We`re not getting someone else to do it but the retailers are very helpful.
It`s such a relief to know I won`t need to stress about thirsty flowers and vegies any more .
:D:D:D
Meanwhile it`s all looking Ok out there, the vegies are growing slowly , time to sow some more seeds soon. The fuschias are looking awful, having been pruned and losing leaves too, but they`ll survive. The roses are also not at their best of course but the new bare rooted ones that I potted have started shooting the silly things. I`ve got 6 more to pot this week plus 4 on order should be here soon. That will mak 44 roses . WOW :D
The worm farms are very busy places, there are millions of them, they get through a lot of food!
Got some chook poo at the weekend and mixed some in one of the compost bins. turned it today and WOOHOO hot and smelly stuff!!
Bought the mushroom farm in today from the shed, i`ve had 3 so far and all the tiny ones should be growing much faster so they`re on top of the fridge now.
