It`s all looking good out there even though the broad beans got a bashing from the high winds a few days ago. Most of the daffs and hyacinths withstood it and those that didn`t are in a vase indoors looking bright.
I have given the fuschias the Sudden Impact so here`s hoping they do wonderful things.
The vegies are growing fast now in the brassica patch and the Russian garlic is up about 6". The fig has new leaves forming and both the plums are in blossom. waiting for a still day to spray the nectarine as it`s almost at bud burst.
I dug up a couple of onion family members but can`t work out what they are. No bulb but they`re not leeks - wrong leaf form. Maybe they`re just giant spring onions ???
The standard roses are doing OK. One is in leaf ahead of the other 2 but they`ll catch up. I had to pull out one of the Angel Face climbers which just didn`t get going. No root system at all had formed. I replaced it with a red Pierre de Ronsard which gets good performance reviews. All of the other roses are doing the right thing, some more so than others. Even have a candy Stripe in bloom but it`s not very good.
