I`ve been away on a short trip - Echuca, Canberra, Narrabeen and Lakes Entrance -all done in one week !
Returning home was exciting I couldn`t wait to see how my garden had been faring. The bulbs had doubled their size and a few of the hyacinths are in bloom. Most of the daffodils and jonquils have fat buds and all the others are through now. In the greenhouse the seedlings had been leaping up and many of the vegies were in urgent need of planting out. Fortunately the weather is gorgeous and good for gardening!
I cut another cauliflower and weeded the vegie patch again. Then I put in 5 Scotch Kale, 5 Collards, and 5 Purple Sprouting Broccoli.
Then there was no room left! In fact they`ll be a bit crowded when they grow big I think. So today I started digging an extension to the bed where the peas are growing along the fence. It won`t be prepared as i`d like it to be but I`ll add loads of compost and B&B and anything else I can find and hope for the best. There are more vegie seedlings nearly ready to put out.
Another of the Cymbidiums is in bloom, a lovely pink one, and more are on the way too.
There`s a rose happily blooming in the side bed - doesn`t know it should be asleep! It`s Kronenburg. The Azaleas are doing Ok and the Fuschias are looking a bit better. must have had plenty of rain last week.
