Not much in the garden activities until April 24.
I repotted some little Cymbidiums who were outgrowing their pots through the bottoms, potted up 6 Fuschias - or- Fuchsias, I don't know which one is right. Lifted the Hippeastrum bulbs which had not flowered, most of them had lost their foliage. i put them in a box in the greenhouse. I tidied the greenhouse ready for the winter. I went to gardenworld and bought some vegie seedlings - Savoy Cabbage, Spinach, and Ruby Chard. I planted them out on 29th April. Sowed seeds of leeks and Sprouting broccoli in punnets in greenhouse.
May !st was the red letter day! A man with an excavator came and dug a 2ftX2ft trench 17mtres long beside the drive and across the front of the house.
This is my new rose bed (or will be). I bought weedmat to line it along the lawn side and stayed out there till dark straightening the sides, pulling grass roots out and levelling the base.
