Well I finally stopped talking about it and got the spade out. I dug up 8 Roses, 2 Azaleas, a Mandevillea, and some assorted natives and popped them into pots. I watered them in with seaweed concentrate, to minimise shock. I`m going to be watching and hoping that the move didn`t kill them. Some other plants which seem to be coping with the drought I`ve left alone. The Magnolia, Luculia and Michelia are doing Ok so far. I also potted up a dwarf Wattle, 2brown Boronias and a pink one, they had no root disturbance so should be fine (???)
The Chilean Guava, Yellow Cherry Guava, Strawberry Guava and Cream Guava are hanging in but I`m watching them carefully.
I went to the local market at the weekend and promised myself not to buy plants. Well I should have known better. I couldn`t resist a lovely display of Lisianthus and bought a pink one. they are desert roses and require little water and like the sun, so I thought it wasn`t a mad purchase.
I`m waiting for the hot days to finish so that I can plant out some seedlings, they are big enough already but I`ll wait till next week. Beetroot, Thai Basil, and Spinach.
