It`s another hot one today !!
Haven`t done much outside except try to keep things alive. I can water with the hose on Tues and Sat, but in between it`s the old bucket and watering can game that we`re all familiar with. In the vegie beds the tomatoes are doing Ok although they`re heat stressed. The strawberries are fine too. The runner beans are not happy but I hope they recover when it`s cooler.
I`m particularly excited about my Sturts Desert Pea, I`ve got 3 grown from seed in a hanging basket and here`s a picture of them. Couldn`t resist getting a photo of next doors Flowering Gum, it`s absolutely fantastic. I tried growing one but it died.
Did another harvest of the Mulberry tree today and i `ve got about 10 containers of them that I`ve freeze dried. Didn`t feel like doing jam or anything that feels like work !! Wore rubber gloves this time, it took over a week to get the fruit stains off my fingers &nails last time.
