Today I planted out seedlings into the vegie patch. Baby Beetroot, Globe Beetroot, Silverbeet and Spinach. Then i devised a way of preventing the birds and other predators from digging them up in their quest for worms and grubs. I cut shortish lengths of polypipe and bent them into arches by slipping the ends over pieces of cane and pushing them into the soil. It looks as though it will work well. They`re tall enough for the plants to (hopefully) grow and rain can get to them.
