Thursday was my Big Day with a visit from my friends from the garden club I used to belong to. We were really lucky with the weather, it had been a not very nice day on Weds and an appalling day on Friday. As it was we could sit on the patio and have a picnic lunch and not be too chilly. The scones and cream and jam went down very well - and quickly !
I got lots of nice comments about the garden and the improvements I'd made since their visit last year and a really pleasant time was had by all. Boy was I exhausted afterwards !! There were 12 of us and LOTS of chatter-I must be used to the quiet down here now, usually just 2 of us .
